This is an exciting time in the life of our church. Several years ago we began an envisioning process to intentionally seek God’s vision and will for the future of our congregation.  Our desire is to listen for God’s voice and experience the transformation God wants to bring about in the life of First Baptist Church.

In 2014 we changed the way we are organized to do ministry. We moved from a system of boards and committees to six ministry teams guided by a Leadership Community which will help the teams stay focused on our mission statement: “To birth and develop mature disciples of Jesus Christ who are characterized by faith, hope and love.”

Presently, we are focused on several goals:

• To become more mature disciples of Jesus by meeting in groups that offer support and encouragement to one another
• To discover how we can become more intentional as a congregation in making disciples of Jesus
• To assist our members in learning how to share their faith in Jesus with people who need to meet Him

This is a challenging and exciting process with the expectation that First Baptist Church will become more effective in sharing the love and salvation of Jesus Christ with those outside our congregation.
