To the First Baptist Church at Pedricktown ❤
Hi! 🙂
We would like to invite you to come to church with us this Sunday. We know that a lot of folks who say they go to church are doing some very non-Jesus things in the world right now, so our church family is trying especially hard to actually be like Jesus.
One of the things Jesus did was invite people into community, and we’d like to offer that to you today. We’d like you to be a part of our community. We’re kind of older and a bit on the small side right now, but we just want to love people. We pray a lot, we visit folks a lot, and we work hard to do the things we’ve seen Jesus doing. We also love sharing meals together. (Hey, we’re Baptist – it’s practically mandatory, lol.)
We just want you to come visit and see if we could be a good fit. There’s no pressure – feel free to bring a friend or two if it would help you feel more comfortable. (We know it’s hard to just show up in a new place by yourself sometimes. But we’ll be there too, and we’ll save you a seat.) There’s no dress code, no fancy anythings. Everyone is welcome. ❤ 
We mean it.
We’re not inviting you because we want your money or your muscles, though we’d love to help you find meaningful ways to participate and help you love others with us. Instead, it’s because we want share God’s love and help you have a safe place in which to grow. We’re still learning and growing ourselves – and questions are always okay. And if coming to worship seems to be a bigger step than you can handle right now, that’s fine. You can come visit with us at Talk of the Towne diner in Penns Grove on the 3rd Saturday of each month, and hang out over breakfast at 9 am. (Just ask for the FBC church group – they know us.) Or, just call us and leave your name and number and one of us will call you back. (We’re always up for a hangout.)
We have a nerdy and goofy pastor who cares about helping us act like Jesus and just being ourselves instead of trying to impress anybody. We want to follow Jesus by loving and living the way he did. We’d be delighted if you visited with us – maybe even a couple (or few) times, however long it takes you to get a good sense of who we are, and see if we really are living like Jesus. We have absolutely no doubt that our community would be enriched by your presence.

Fall Schedule
Sunday Worship! Join us on Sundays in the Sanctuary at 10 am. We usually celebrate communion on the 1st Sunday of every month, and that week, we invite the kids to stay with us for communion. All other weeks, we offer a Junior Church for our younger folk after the Children’s Sermon. A portion of the service is recorded and uploaded for later viewing and to make it accessible to those who are unable to attend. If you would like to receive the link each week, please contact the church office and let us know.
Sunday School! Sunday School is what we call the small groups that meet after the worship service. Several groups meet, offering vigorous conversation, great lessons, and fun activities for all ages. Our dedicated teachers will be offering classes for everyone, and it’s a great way to learn more about our faith as we grow! So join us for Worship at 10:00 am, and then join a class at 11:15 to learn more and fellowship with others! Note: Sunday School is held September through May. Another Note: Every third Sunday of each month is Coffee & Donuts Fellowship Day! Adult Sunday School will not be held that day.
Joyful Noise Choir!
The kids are also invited to join our children’s choir, where they sing, lip sync, and dance to the joy of the Lord! They meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 6 to 6:30 pm, right before Youth Group.
Youth Group!
Grades 1 to 8, meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday night at 6:30 to 7:30 pm, September through May. They’ll meet with Jaclyn, our Children’s Ministry Team leader, and learn so much about God and have a ton of fun doing it!
Adult Choir!
Adult Choir meets in the Sanctuary weekly at 6:30 pm, after Joyful Noise is done. We’d love to have some new singers – of any skill level! Ask our Music Director Amy if you have any questions. (She’s pretty great, not gonna lie.)
AGEEC! We also host the Amazing Grace Early Education Center, a preschool/elementary school for children ages two through grade three. For more information, call Shelley McFarland at 856-294-5433.
