Pastor’s Message

The people of First Baptist Church at Pedricktown have grown as disciples over the years I’ve been a member and a staffer. We have always been a theologically diverse faith community that is compassionate toward each other and the broader community, committed to mission support and engagement, and open to trying new things.

But lately, we’ve grown into a close, deeply loving family. I’m delighted to say that our main aim is to love everyone just like Jesus did – with our whole hearts, all the time, and in every circumstance. And we really do mean everybody. Because this world is hard enough – we’ve learned in faith that the way we get through is together and with love.

We want you to become a part of our family too. We want to support you, learn from you, love you, and grow from knowing you. We want to provide a safe space for folks to ask the tough questions and to feel comfortable enough to know that discomfort in learning is not the end of the world. It can very often be the beginning of change for the better.

Please give us a try – we’re not perfect, but we promise to love and support you the best we can, as Jesus shows us how.

Do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.

Pastor Carrie ❤
