Associate Pastor for Youth and Young Families
Carrie is a Salem county native, who returned to NJ in the fall of 2010 to fill the newly created position of Associate Pastor of Youth and Young Families. She has two masters degrees from Palmer Theological Seminary in Wynnewood, PA, one in Contemporary Theology, and the other in Divinity. She has a third masters degree from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland in Christianity in the Non-Western World. Carrie has had experience working in several churches and Christian organizations, teaching and creating curriculum for all ages, and has a deep love for the global church. She has also worked at the American Baptist Churches, USA, in Valley Forge, PA, for International Ministries.
Carrie’s faith journey has been lifelong, and she believes strongly in education and relationship as being important to sharing God’s love with others, and working towards God’s purposes in the world. She enjoys discovering the ways God has revealed the Gospel in other parts of the world, and leading children and youth as they seek to grow closer to Jesus Christ. Carrie also teaches world religion and world literature at TempleUniversity in Philadelphia, PA.
Carrie is a movie, tech, and sci-fi buff. She also enjoys reading, photography, travel, and spending time with her friends and family. She has a cat named Freya. She also has seven amazing nieces.
