Pedricktown Day is a wonderful way to showcase FBC and to greet old and new friends. The Mission Team needs YOUR assistance to transport the water, games, etc. to the fire house on Friday, October 11th at 6:00 PM, help setting up the church’s booth at 7:30 AM on Saturday, and to reach out to visitors on Pedricktown Day – Saturday, October 12th between 9:00 AM through 3:30 PM. Also, we will need help with disassembling our booth and transporting items back to the church at 3:45. Once again we are handing out water and have some festival games for the kids to enjoy with prizes. We need YOU and YOUR entire family to commit just 90 minutes to participate in this very important mission endeavor. Our co-coordinators are Eleanor Clemente (telephone # (856) 299-6309 and e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org) and Nancy Kohler (telephone # (856) 467-5535 and e-mail email@example.com).
Please use the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the narthex to select a convenient time.
We are in need of (a) volunteer(s) who can showcase their artistic talent by painting faces at the church booth. If you are available and would like to volunteer a couple of hours, please speak to either Eleanor or Nancy.
Operation Christmas Child
Believe it or not, you have approximately 70 days (DUE: Sunday, November 10th) to purchase items and pack your Operation Christmas Child shoebox before the Mission Team needs to deliver them! REMEMBER CANDY, FOOD, LIQUIDS, TOOTHPASTE and BREAKABLE ITEMS are NOT ALLOWED. In the coming week’s shoeboxes and plastic shoeboxes will be available for you to use. Also, see suggestions in future bulletins. “This is a powerful tool for evangelism and discipleship…to grow the Kingdom of God even in places where the Gospel has never been heard” (Samaritan’s Purse website).
The Angels Sunday School class will continue our study “Elijah” on September 29, 2019. Please join us as we learn about this fascinating Bible character.
The C&Y team is looking for help with our youth Sunday School program. If you may be interested in sharing the teaching responsibility for one of our classes or would like more information please contact Jaclyn or a member of the C&Y team.
On Sunday, September 29, Caroline Brickner and Nina Justice Malloy will publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ through the Ordinance of Christian Baptism. Following worship a reception will be held in Fellowship Hall to celebrate this wonderful occasion.
